ABOUT THE JOB:

As the Del Cielo Taproom Manager, you will work side by side with the General Manager to ensure that the taproom meets our commitments to guest satisfaction and continued staff development training while elevating operations standards and driving company growth.

We require  4+ years of restaurant management experience, but more importantly a willingness to continue and strengthen our excellent tradition of beer, food, and guest service. The right candidate should enjoy interacting with guests while implementing our steps of service.

 

YOU WILL:

  • Report to the General Manager
  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the Taproom team in partnership with GM. 
  • Ability to lead by example in a manner consistent with Del Cielo’s values.
  • Develop and implement new ideas and strategies to impact revenue.
  • Lead pre-shift training for staff on beer, food specials and items of focus.
  • Develop customer relationships and provide memorable guest experiences.
  • In charge of register duty during opening shifts.
  • Maintain the bar area and make sure everything is clean, organized and stocked.
  • Maintain merchandise inventory organized and stocked. 
  • Have a strong understanding of Del Cielo products, offerings and all events.
  • Ensure that our procedures are adhered to and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper product rotation so that the taps match the offerings on the menu.
  • Quickly identify and resolve any issues within the taproom space.
  • Know and ensure CA food safety standards are met by all team members.
  • Communicate well with all members including the Production and Kitchen teams.
  • Manage call-outs and step in where needed to be properly staffed for shifts.
  • Facilitate the team member experience: fun, safe and fulfilling.
  • Adhere to the onboarding processes and insure new hires are equipped with the knowledge needed to excel at their job and wow guests.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager on monthly events and private events.

YOU ARE:

  • Experienced in management, preferably in the quick-serve, restaurant, or taproom
  • Energetic, detailed oriented and guest obsessed
  • Experienced in collaborating with multiple departments
  • Passionate about beer!
  • Available to work weekends and nights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/G Suite; Gmail, Mac/Microsoft OS, Retail or Restaurant POS
  • RBS, Food Handlers Manager and Forklift Certified (Training available upon hiring)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. and 21 years of age or older

We require  2+ years experience as a restaurant/brewery lead bartender, but more importantly a willingness to continue and strengthen our excellent tradition of beer, food, and guest service. The right candidate should enjoy interacting with guests while implementing our steps of service.

 

YOU WILL:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver a memorable experience to all of our accounts by:
  • Having a friendly and helpful attitude
  • Delivering our beer on time and accurately
  • Communicating between account and sales team
  • Stock shelves or assist in other ways if needed
  • Plan and map routes, taking traffic and receiving/operation hours into account
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and alert management of any maintenance needs
  • Share your passion and enthusiasm for beer in a way that is accessible and friendly, from the experienced beer drinker to the newbie
  • Potential additional hours available to work with production cleaning kegs, canning, kegging and organizing cooler
SKILLS / TRAITS REQUIRED: 
  • Beer industry/warehouse/delivery experience is a PLUS
  • Passionate about craft beer
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time well
  • Good at communicating and following written/verbal instructions
  • Someone who works hard and knows how to have fun while doing it
  • Dependable and thrive in a team environment
  • This is a physically demanding job. You must be able to:
    • Handle kegs and cases of beer using a dolly
    • Maneuver 160 pounds (1/2 barrel kegs)
    • Be on your feet for long periods of time
    • Perform repetitive motions of pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Only highly self-motivated, organized, dedicated, independent individuals need apply
COMPENSATION:
  • $22/hr+ (based on experience)
